COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Granite State News Collaborative is launching a Community News Survey to find out what residents want from their news, and over 20 local outlets will use the feedback to adjust their reporting. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A New Hampshire clean energy pilot that has helped dozens of towns has secured $3 million in federal funds (via the fiscal 2026 agriculture package) to expand nationwide. Sen. Shaheen led the effort and the program will be run by the USDA Rural Utilities Service within the next year.  New Hampshire Bulletin

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Mercedes-Benz settled with dozens of states over a diesel emissions scandal after being accused of misstating its vehicles' pollution levels + New Hampshire received more than $360,000 from the nearly $150 million payout, as reported by the state Attorney General’s office in Manchester.  WMUR

HEALTH NEWS

  • Granite United Way awarded $378,723 in grants to 26 local organizations (from its first opioid abatement cycle that ran from Oct. 1 to Oct. 31, 2025) to fund prevention, treatment, harm reduction, recovery, and community building efforts. A new cycle will open on Jan. 2.  Nashua Ink Link

  • After the Patriots secured a playoff berth Sunday, cornerback Christian Gonzalez earned his first Pro Bowl nod and quarterback Drake Maye was named for the second time. The team will practice on Christmas Eve, rest on Christmas Day, and then face the Jets Sunday to clinch the division.  WMUR
