  • On Small Business Saturday, Granite Staters supported local businesses by taking part in holiday shopping and events hosted by shops like the Granite State Candy Shoppe and the Bookery in Manchester—these events featured book sales, performances and giveaways to engage customers.   • Bedford won the state football championship by beating Pinkerton Academy 35—7 when senior Matthews, playing his final game before college lacrosse, threw five touchdown passes and shared an emotional embrace with coach Zach Matthews.  WMUR
