- ➤ Today, developers, federal, state, and local officials broke ground at the former Mohawk Tannery site along the Nashua River to begin cleanup that will use a massive concrete secant wall to contain over 90,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil—this project will make way for a planned 230-unit rental complex and 316-unit condominium development that will add more than 500 new residences over 6—8 years.
