- ➤ Fritz Wetherbee’s Haunted New Hampshire will return as an encore presentation of his most frightening tales, inviting audiences to pull up a chair — prepare for spooky storytelling. The performance revives material from his 2018 show and will offer updated chills for local fans. WMUR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Foundation for NH Community Colleges awarded nearly 600 fall scholarships totaling $487K in the 2024-25 academic year (with an average gift of $814 marking a 27% increase) to help students cover tuition and other costs. - ➤ More than 11,576 power outages occurred across New Hampshire yesterday when fallen tree limbs and wires disrupted services by Eversource, Unitil, New Hampshire Electric Co-op and Liberty Utilities. Utility companies warn that increasing winds with gusts over 35 mph could lead to more outages today—customers should report problems to their utilities. WMUR

- ➤ The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services announced a plan in its Roadmap 2025-2027 to boost child care capacity by enrolling 10% more children from high-need communities by September 2026 — the plan also includes a fiscal analysis to assess and improve funding for the child care system. - ➤ Southern New Hampshire Health and United Way of Greater Nashua have partnered to launch the Greater Nashua Hunger Fund to help families get healthy food amid possible SNAP and WIC changes + the fund will offer food vouchers, gift cards, and bulk supplies to over 20 local pantries.
