- ➤ NH Gleans is expanding its effort to rescue extra farm crops and deliver fresh food to families in need across New Hampshire—supported by a $105,000 investment from Hannaford Supermarkets that will boost outreach with local farms. - ➤ Gloria Timmons, a longtime Nashua resident who served as an alderwoman and on the Board of Education, began a 22-year military career when she joined the U.S. Army as a young woman—she is remembered by community members for her good character and dedicated service. New Hampshire Union Leader

- ➤ Drought conditions improved in New Hampshire after recent rainfall, with areas in Grafton, Carroll and Coos counties shifting from extreme to severe drought and the extreme drought area reducing from over 53 percent to just over 37 percent.
