- ➤ The Kid Conservationist, a local teen who started on YouTube, is now speaking on the world stage to protect nature, while Seacoast darts players work to boost their game—adding to the local spotlight. Damian, a group home resident, is hoping to find a family to call his own. WMUR
- ➤ United Way of Greater Nashua has announced two November events — the Care-E-Oke competition on Nov. 8 and the Betting on the Community Poker event — to support local programs. Funds raised will help improve services in our community. New Hampshire Union Leader
- ➤ Beginning the week of Nov. 3, United Way of Greater Nashua will move its Pop-Up Pantries indoors for the winter season to ensure residents can access food—indoor locations have been set to maintain service during cold weather. New Hampshire Union Leader

- ➤ W.H. Bagshaw, a metal parts maker in Hudson, learned that its health insurance premiums will jump 38% in 2026 when federal tax credits expire due to the government shutdown, and the company will meet with its broker next week to find a solution. - ➤ Viewers chose the scariest haunted attractions in New Hampshire for Halloween, ranking seven venues with a three-way tie for fifth at Haunted Overload in Lee, Fitzy's Fright Fest in Newton and Beans and Greens Farm in Gilford. Collins Farm in Bath, Spooky World Presents Nightmare New England in Litchfield and Salisbury Woods in Salisbury follow—Fright Kingdom in Nashua takes the top spot. WMUR

- ➤ The UNH team created AquaFort fish farm in New Castle to grow steelhead trout in a small system that uses sugar kelp and mussels as a natural filter—this project holds tours and aims to help local fishermen by providing responsibly raised seafood and a model to expand along the coast. WMUR
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Several New Hampshire communities received about 1 inch of rain on Wednesday — the latest U.S. Drought Monitor report showed more than 53% of the state remained in extreme drought with the rest facing severe or moderate conditions. Rainfall from Wednesday will be added to next week’s report while Monday’s totals are already recorded. WMUR
