COMMUNITY NEWS

  • United Way of Greater Nashua is seeking reliable volunteers to work two-hour night shifts at the Winter Warming Station at the former Elm Street Middle School starting December 1 through April 15—volunteers will monitor guest belongings, manage supplies, prepare refreshments, and lead activities. City staff will be on site from 7 PM to 7 AM to support volunteers and ensure a safe, warm space for those experiencing homelessness.  Nashua Ink Link

CRIME NEWS

  • Rob Parsons, owner of Sky Meadow Country Club, read a statement outside the courthouse after a hearing on charges linked to Saturday night's fatal shooting at the club—he apologized for the tragedy and asked for privacy—as law enforcement continues its investigation.  WMUR

EDUCATION NEWS

  • New Hampshire nonprofits working to ease the child care cost crisis announced Friday that they hired Julie Asher as the first executive director of the NH Early Childhood Funders Collaborative—she brings experience from New Profit and Harvard University’s Center on the Developing Child. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Gov. Kelly Ayotte announced on Monday that open outdoor fires are banned statewide as dry conditions increase wildfire risks—this ban suspends burn permits and covers campfires, burning debris, and smoking near woodlands and trails.  WMUR

  • Nearly 50,000 New Hampshire residents rely on federal premium tax credits from the ACA Marketplace to keep health insurance affordable — without Congress extending these credits before Dec. 31, households will face steep premium hikes in 2026.  New Hampshire Bulletin
