- ➤ Bryan Gould—nominee for the state Supreme Court—vowed he will recuse himself from cases involving Casella Waste Systems and the proposed landfill near Forest Lake State Park if his impartiality is questioned. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ American Medical Response reported 47 suspected overdoses in August in Manchester and Nashua—35 in Manchester and 12 in Nashua—marking a 6% drop from the 12-month average. Manchester saw overdoses fall by 24% from last year while Nashua dropped 11%, even as its opioid death rate remains 43% higher than typical. WMUR
- ➤ Massachusetts Health Commissioner Dr. Robert Goldstein said his team is actively communicating with New Hampshire public health agencies about a regional vaccine guidance effort that works separately from federal rules—New Hampshire remains the only New England state not in the group and may join future expansions.
