ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A portion of Interstate 89 north in Sutton was closed Saturday morning after a crash at mile marker 23.4—north of Exit 9—as troopers investigated the scene and advised drivers to avoid the area. WMUR
- ➤ At JP Noonan Transportation on Zapora Drive in Hooksett, crews fought an asphalt tanker fire when liquid asphalt ignited and one employee suffered a hand injury from an exploding trailer tire—he was treated and released as extra water from tanker trucks helped control the blaze and the road reopened by 12:20 p.m. WMUR
- ➤ Loved ones returned to the Massachusetts coast to honor missing Joakim Courteau after his boat capsized on Aug 23 — his search has been suspended after his best friend Capt. David Benedict survived when the Coast Guard rescued him. WMUR
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Law enforcement will increase patrols through Monday to catch drivers who are impaired and speed, and their partners will work under the (Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over) campaign to keep roads safe this Labor Day weekend. WMUR

- ➤ Matthew Gouthro announced his run for the Ward 2 seat on the Nashua Board of Aldermen on Friday—challenging longtime incumbent Rick Dowd. He said his campaign will bring new ideas and better oversight of city funds and services. Nashua Ink Link
- ➤ Forty-four local residents filed candidacies for the municipal election set for Nov. 4 as the filing period that began Tuesday runs through Sept. 5 — Ward 1 Alderman Tyler Gouveia filed to run for an At-Large seat after serving two terms. Nashua Ink Link
