CRIME NEWS

  • A New Hampshire man, David Labrecque, 65, was killed on Thursday in Hartford, Vermont during an attempted robbery when Demetrius Drew, 30, allegedly shot him, and two Rindge residents were arrested as accessories while a 36-year-old woman was treated for her injuries — police said.  WMUR

  • Monday on NH Chronicle featured the Nutmeg Prospectors inviting locals to pan for gold in New Hampshire's gold belt — echoing the state's heritage — while Lisa at Rig A Tony’s in Derry demonstrated how to make a calzone from common fridge ingredients; an update at 7:31 p.m. EDT on Aug 22 confirmed these events occurred.  WMUR

Ruben Gallego visited New Hampshire on Friday at a town hall and Politics and Eggs event—his trip fueling speculation about a future White House run while he focused on lowering costs and helping working people. HEALTH NEWS

  • Harbor Care hosted a community panel on August 22 where community health leaders, including Senator Maggie Hassan, Congressman Chris Pappas, and Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, discussed federal health care cuts from H.R.1 that reduced Medicaid funding and could impact over 186,000 New Hampshire residents.
