Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 29th of July.
Good morning, Nashua.
🏛️ Government
Gov. Kelly Ayotte signed HB 639—Blockchain Basic Laws—to protect digital asset transactions and self-custody while banning crypto-specific buying taxes.
Lawmakers also created a specialized court docket for blockchain disputes and critics say the move may not be enough to draw crypto business from states like Wyoming.
📰 Real Estate
A new federal law removes the chassis requirement for manufactured homes this month — the change lets builders use modern designs that may lower costs and help first-time buyers build equity.
Sarah Marchant of NH Community Loan Fund said updated standards could ease the local housing crunch.
