  • More than 200 local Korean-Americans gathered at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen on Friday afternoon to honor veterans who served in conflict. Soldiers from two nations' armies were present—showing a shared respect for those who fought.  New Hampshire Union Leader

BUSINESS NEWS

  • New Hampshire businesses faced rising fraud and scams that targeted small and mid-sized companies by mimicking established firms to obtain loans and credit. Secretary of State David Scanlan said his office could cancel filings deemed fraudulent—authority granted by House Bill 406—and referred cases to the Attorney General when criminal activity was involved.  WMUR

CRIME NEWS

  • Vermont State Police arrested Mark Sutton, 25, just before 9 p.m. Saturday after days on the run—he is wanted on more than a dozen warrants from Vermont and New Hampshire—and he will appear in court today.  WMUR
  • Trevor Bouchard, a Manchester man, was found severely beaten inside his home late Friday night and is now in stable condition in the ICU—police are investigating the incident while his family said the attack appears random.  WMUR

EDUCATION NEWS

  • House Bill 90, signed by Gov. Kelly Ayotte this month, lets schools hire college faculty without credentials to teach up to 20 hours a week—lawmakers say it may ease teacher shortages and expand dual enrollment programs. Some public school advocates worry the law could lower standards, and local districts have not yet shared plans to use this option.  New Hampshire Bulletin

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Between 1961 and 1965 the Nashua Police Department faced fatal traffic accidents on Daniel Webster Highway South and managed rising hazards as commerce increased. The department upgraded equipment and adjusted personnel, marked by Police Chief Joseph Regan's resignation in 1962 and the on-duty death of Motorcycle Officer Edward Graziano in 1964.  Nashua Ink Link
