- ➤ After William Davis—79 from Jacksonville—was found dead on the southeast side of Mount Washington following a Wednesday trip with his wife, state officials advise hikers to prepare for emergencies by using guidebooks, maps, and mobile apps and to avoid hiking alone this summer. WMUR
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ New Hampshire farms are having a hard growing season as extreme weather (a dry start, heavy spring rains that flooded fields, and a drought in May) kept crops from growing fully and caused shortages of tomatoes and corn. David Orde from Lull Farm in Hollis said farmers expect a larger tomato crop by August and must find produce from other regions to meet demand. WMUR
