- ➤ For National Prevention Week in May, the Greater Nashua Prevention Coalition named Nashua PAL and Boys & Girls Club Nashua as winners of the 2025 Youth Video Project. - ➤ New state laws will change bar rules soon as brewpubs can sell beer to one extra spot by the end of August and guests may bring drinks into restrooms + towns may create social districts for outside drinking starting in September. - ➤ A Nashua man aged 41 was jailed after a police officer stopped him early Saturday morning for riding a bicycle without lights—he faces multiple domestic and firearms charges. New Hampshire Union Leader
- ➤ A man accused of escaping from Sullivan County House of Corrections was caught in Connecticut on a $500,000 bond after police saw him at a gas station in his underwear and a flannel jacket—he escaped Saturday by climbing a fence and stealing a truck and will face a court appearance next week. - ➤ Registration is open for the 18th New England Regional Genealogical Conference—set for Oct 29 to Nov 1 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown Manchester—to offer more than 70 sessions on topics such as DNA, immigration, and social history.
