ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ In Temple, a car crashed into a tree and caught fire around 3:14 a.m. Saturday on General Miller Highway—the driver got out safely—and crews from Temple and Wilton worked to put out the blaze, closing the road for about an hour. WMUR
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests celebrated its 200th conservation area on Sunday when it held a walk through the 280-acre Bean Forest in Farmington donated by Dorothy “Dottie” Bean — the group now protects nearly 67,000 acres across 105 communities and will use proceeds from the sale of historic buildings to support trail maintenance — and plans further conservation efforts. - ➤ New Hampshire State Police earned a spot on the American Association of State Troopers calendar after receiving 10,046 votes and finishing 11th out of 49 states—making them the only New England agency in the top 13 and prompting thanks to the community. - ➤ In June, New Hampshire’s single-family market saw median prices rise to $565,000 while the affordability index fell to a record low of 53—sales activity increased with more closed, pending and new listings.
