COMMUNITY NEWS

  • NHFPI released data this Father’s Day showing about 272,500 dads lived with their children from 2019 to 2023 — nearly half of all adult men in the state. The report also noted roughly 5,900 single dad households and revealed income challenges for many families.  Nashua Ink Link

CRIME NEWS

  • Ronald Riberio, wanted for a bank robbery at TD Bank on Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua on May 28 when he told employees he was armed and left with cash, was arrested in an apartment in Lexington on Friday+ and returned to New Hampshire with arraignment set for Monday.  WMUR

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Nashua Community College’s Early College program lets high school students earn both a diploma and an associate degree by taking free courses and discounted classes—this program is available in online, in-person, or high school settings. Graduates like Katiana Berry, who earned an Early Childhood Education certificate and will work at a local childcare center, and Cora Shaklee, who earned a math degree with a 4.0 GPA and will start studies at Plymouth State University in the fall—show how the program jumpstarts careers and academic paths.  Nashua Ink Link

  • Officials said a project to install median barriers along I-95 is delayed due to high costs driven by an aggressive schedule – the highway stretch saw fatal crashes in fall 2024 – and officials will revise the scope with construction expected to be completed in fall 2026.  WMUR
