CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A judge in Concord ordered Ji Li, a 41-year-old from Middletown, CT, held without bail after he was charged with felony theft by deception for tricking a 72-year-old retiree into buying $3.1 million in gold, and investigators say the scam involved fake experts + four different gold bar pickups in Concord. - ➤ Many Granite Staters received a scam text on Monday, claiming to be from the DMV and asking for payment — officials warned residents to delete the message and not click on any links. WMUR
- ➤ On June 8, Nashua police arrested Travis Morgan, 42, after witnesses said he threatened two people with scissors on Pine Street Extension — he faces charges for Criminal Threatening, Deadly Weapon, Falsifying Physical Evidence and Resisting Arrest and will appear at the 9th Circuit-District Division-Nashua Court on June 9 at 1 p.m. Nashua Ink Link

- ➤ The New Hampshire BEA awarded $5 million in grants to 11 housing projects including Nashua — the funds come from the Housing Championship program aimed at boosting affordable housing. - ➤ The Senate approved its two-year spending plan on Thursday, and House lawmakers and senators will now meet in a conference committee to agree on one budget that Gov.
