Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 8th of June.
Good morning, Nashua.
🎓 Education
Jackie Thomas talked with Steph Sosinski of UNH Cooperative Extension at Apple Hill Farm in Concord about how to pick the right fertilizer.
She explained that fertilizer bags show nutrient numbers and that soil tests help decide between fast-acting synthetic types and slow-release organic ones—making it easier for growers to know what they need.
🌲 Environment
The City of Nashua is testing the Ravo R5e electric street sweeper that operates quietly and produces zero direct emissions — a move expected to lower noise and maintenance costs.
City officials will compare its cleaning performance with purchase and operational expenses to decide if the city should switch from diesel-powered sweepers.
