- ➤ The YMCA of Greater Nashua will host Y CARES WEEKS from June 9 to June 29 to celebrate connection—belonging and achievement while raising funds for its Financial Assistance Program. - ➤ Police responded to a call at a Nashua home over the weekend after a suicidal female reported a threat (the investigation now centers on a man facing more than two dozen assault charges) as part of their ongoing inquiry. New Hampshire Union Leader

- ➤ Positive Street Art and Opportunity Networks will host a 12-week art intensive called United Through Color at 48 Bridge St., Nashua, with an art reception on June 12 from 6—8 p.m. The exhibition will show paintings, sculptures, performance art and photography while featuring live music and food, and half the sales will support the artists. - ➤ The Senate Finance Committee voted on Tuesday, June 3, to approve its final changes to the House budget that boost funding for Medicaid, youth services, and mental health while reducing some spending for special education and police retirement benefits. The Senate will vote on the proposal today — the committee made over 200 changes since the House passed its plan on April 10. Nashua Ink Link

- ➤ WMUR will team up with the American Red Cross on Friday for a statewide blood drive to meet the increased need during summer — doctors say donations are vital for emergency treatments. Dr. Mark Kromer at Portsmouth Regional Hospital explained that the blood helps not just for emergencies but also for procedures such as transplants and cancer care, and appointments remain available in Manchester and Concord. - ➤ Mike Bolduc, a donor recruiter with the American Red Cross, said blood donations are urgently needed ahead of WMUR’s Blood Drive—set for Friday at seven locations—because hospitals rely on donated blood for surgeries and emergencies. WMUR
