  • The Nash Casino awarded $1.6 million to eight local nonprofits from revenue generated in April from games of chance and HHR machines. Greater Nashua Mental Health and other organizations used the funds to support essential services—an event marked by historical reenactments from the Nashua Historical Society.  Nashua Ink Link

  • Police responded to a fatal crash in Pelham on Wednesday morning at 6:50 a.m. that involved a motorcycle and another vehicle and closed Nashua Road at Mammoth Road—detours are in place.  WMUR

  • Market Basket CEO Arthur T. Demoulas is on paid administrative leave after the board alleged he planned a disruption of business and retaliated against collaborative measures—an investigation is underway while jobs and benefits remain unchanged.  WMUR

CRIME NEWS

  • Police said a stolen car rolled over around 1:50 a.m. in Bedford—13-year-old driver died at a hospital and 14-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries, with police investigating the incident.  WMUR

  • N.H. State Parks are marking 90 years of providing outdoor spaces from mountains to sea as they share their history and ongoing role in the community. Jean Mackin led the anniversary work by explaining how the parks started — a milestone celebrated with special local events.  WMUR
