  • Aria Vitale, a local nine-year-old Girl Scout, noticed the Tilton-Northfield Fire Department’s flag was torn after winter and did extra chores + earned enough money to buy a replacement flag, which she donated last week so the department can display a fresh one for Memorial Day.  WMUR

  • The Nash Casino was named Best Casino in New Hampshire at the 2026 International Casino Awards after more than 15,000 players cast votes, earning it 28.2 percent of the vote. The award highlights the casino’s strong local appeal and quality entertainment.  Nashua Ink Link

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Evening lane closures will affect the F.E. Everett Turnpike this week for work on the Baboosic Lake Road overpass (Merrimack) as officials manage the project.  New Hampshire Union Leader
  • House and Senate negotiators reached an agreement on a bill Tuesday offering civil immunity to farmers facing PFAS contamination from standard practices. The law directs the Department of Environmental Services to set soil testing rules by June 30 and requires testing starting in 2028.  New Hampshire Bulletin
