- ➤ For its 26th year, 710 flags were planted at veterans' graves at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Nashua. The Memorial Day parade (starting Monday at 10:30 a.m.) will take place at Holman Stadium on Amherst Street. WMUR
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A 70-foot-long mural with images of Nashua history was unveiled Friday, May 23 along the north wall of the Water Street Bridge facing the Riverwalk — local high school students helped to paint it, and the Arts Commission hopes it will become a popular photo spot. WMUR
- ➤ Nashua will host Renaissance on the Riverwalk this Memorial Day weekend, featuring local vendors and family-friendly activities for the community. WMUR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Sean O'Brien from UNH Cooperative Extension spoke with Jacqueline Thomas (at Farm to UNH) about spring pruning for forsythia, lilac and azalea and explained that cutting back no more than one third after flowering will promote new growth for next season. WMUR
