- ➤ On May 31st, MakeIt Fest 2025 will be held at MakeIt Labs at 25 Crown St. in Nashua with live demonstrations, hands-on workshops and a sumo robot competition. The free event will let local makers display their skills — early-bird registrants receive a Maker’s Raffle ticket. Nashua Ink Link
- ➤ Positive Street Art and Opportunity Networks have partnered to relaunch United Through Color, a 12-week art intensive that brings paintings, sculptures, performance, and interactive displays to the community. - ➤ The BSMM Foundation held its first Family STEM Day on May 17 at World Academy and drew hundreds of families, over 20 exhibitors, and more than 300 preregistered attendees for hands-on STEM exhibits that honored late Brian McCarthy and celebrated the foundation’s 5th anniversary. - ➤ Fabian Schmidt, a green card holder from Nashua, was detained by ICE at Logan Airport and spent over two months in custody at facilities in Boston and Rhode Island before his case was dropped and he was released 11 days ago. - ➤ The Senate delayed ending mandatory state vehicle inspections by pausing a repeal bill passed in March — a delay that pushes any changes to early 2026 and sets the stage for further debate during June budget talks.
