- ➤ Phil Sletten from NH Fiscal Policy Institute spoke with Fred Kocher about how many local businesses are having trouble hiring workers as a growing number of residents near retirement age leave the labor pool—about 200,000 Granite Staters—and rising housing and childcare costs add extra pressure. - ➤ A Barnstead driver named Alexander Doyle, 20, was arrested after his car drove into a private driveway in Hudson at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday and hit a deck before reversing over a wall into a pond—alcohol was a factor, he was charged with aggravated DWI, released on personal recognizance, and is set for arraignment later this month.
