- ➤ John and Laurie Masiello, a Hollis couple aged 70, continue working together in a Nashua office as they launch OverShield, a sensor system that predicts problems in freezers storing vaccines and medications. - ➤ A New Hampshire doctor pleaded guilty to illegally prescribing opioids to a patient with a substance use disorder+ he told other patients to use a different pharmacy to fill prescriptions+ in the first conviction of its kind in New Hampshire, he now faces up to 20 years in prison. WMUR
- ➤ Lewistone Baez Miranda, 50, from Puerto Rico, will spend more than six years in federal prison for trafficking cocaine to Manchester through the mail—officials said his son used false information to send the drugs concealed in children’s games in bundles weighing 500 or 1,000 grams. WMUR

- ➤ Danielle Festa, a local artist, started The Aplomb Project to help people heal from trauma with paintings that mix color and hope — her nonprofit was founded after a family tragedy. Construction is underway in Dover for her new studio — a space where the community can create art and share their stories. WMUR
- ➤ Jodi Picoult and other New Hampshire authors spoke out at a Concord conference against book ban bills HB 324 and SB 33, saying the measures could remove local control of school materials and criminalize educators. - ➤ Nashua Community College expanded its aviation program by installing a new FAA-approved ATC simulator system this spring to launch the only air traffic controller training program in NH.
