CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A pedestrian died Sunday morning after being struck on Kinsley Street near 189 Kinsley Street, and Nashua Police arrested the driver while investigators processed the scene (charges will be released after the investigation). Nashua Ink Link

- ➤ Nashua High School South will present Clue: On Stage — High School Edition in three performances from May 16 to May 18 at 36 Riverside St. Tickets cost $12 for the general public — $6 for students, faculty and staff with valid ID at the door. Nashua Ink Link
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sunshine and mild temperatures returned this week, yet rivers remain swollen from heavy rain since early May — the bottom stairs at Arms Park in Manchester were underwater on Monday. The Merrimack River at Goffs Falls, which was a foot below flood stage at noon Monday, is forecast to drop to the 8 to 9 foot range in the next 48 hours — locals are urged to use caution near river banks until the currents subside. - ➤ On Friday, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen held a roundtable in Nashua to discuss how cuts to Medicaid could reduce treatment support for substance use disorders—she met with local recovery organizations to assess the impact on over 60,000 patients. Later, she accepted the Elected Official Energy Champion Award in Manchester for her long-standing work on energy efficiency programs that help lower costs for families. Nashua Ink Link
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Nearly 300 Granite Staters met Monday in Concord at the NH Prevention Conference to discuss substance misuse, trauma, and loneliness affecting local youth. - ➤ AMR medics answered 41 suspected opioid overdoses in Nashua and Manchester in April; Manchester saw 28 cases with 4 deaths and Nashua had 13 cases with no deaths.
