- ➤ United Way of Greater Nashua will host the Kevin Slattery Memorial Food Drive on May 31 and June 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will serve at 10 local stores—helping shoppers add extra donations to support local pantries and honor Kevin Slattery’s legacy in fighting hunger. Nashua Ink Link
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board said a modified part may have started the plane crash that killed a Nashua stunt pilot in Virginia last month, and officials are continuing the investigation to confirm the cause. New Hampshire Union Leader

- ➤ Officers from the Nashua Police Department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division + the Hudson Police Department executed a search warrant at 74 Lock Street on April 30, arresting seven people for common nuisances after months of drug investigations. Nashua Ink Link
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Eversource asked the Public Utilities Commission to approve a rate hike that would raise bills by 17% or about $260 per year to fund infrastructure repairs+ testimony on the proposal is being heard today. If approved, new rates will begin on Aug. 1. WMUR

- ➤ Gov. Kelly Ayotte proclaimed May as Mental Health Awareness Month on Monday and warned state lawmakers against cutting funding for mental health services + Medicaid reimbursement rates. Leaders in the mental health field, including HHS Commissioner Lori Weaver, noted progress in reducing emergency wait times for psychiatric care and urged continued support to avoid reversing improvements.
