  • On Saturday, Nashua Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency held Drug Take Back Day to let residents safely drop off unwanted medications and supplements. The effort aimed to reduce risks from the opioid epidemic—records show overdose deaths fell 34% overall and opioid deaths declined 39% from 2023 to 2024.  WMUR
  • Rocky is a 2-year-old, 60-pound Staffordshire Terrier mix who is looking for his new family through the Salem Animal Rescue League. He enjoys walks, ice cubes, and arranging his bedding for naps—he does well with respectful children but needs a home without cats.  WMUR

  • Two people were sent to Elliot Hospital after a vehicle hit a tree on Route 101 near Blueberry Hill Road in Amherst around 2 p.m. Friday when an adult driver had a coughing fit and crossed the double yellow line.  WMUR

  • A Chelmsford man was arrested and faces multiple felony charges for a 2023 shooting in Nashua that damaged businesses+ he is accused of striking a passing vehicle carrying three people+ police are continuing to investigate the case.  New Hampshire Union Leader

  • On Saturday, the Fisher Cats won a shutout 1 to 0 over the Rumble Ponies at Mirabito Stadium after left fielder Yohendrick Piñango’s RBI double put them ahead in the top of the eighth. On his 26th birthday, starter Ryan Watson recorded his third straight quality start — striking out six as reliever Ryan Jennings pitched two scoreless frames and righty Hunter Gregory earned his first save.  Nashua Ink Link
