  • Nashua’s Ethics Review Committee cleared Mayor Jim Donchess of any ethics violations after it found he complied with city rules when he used city funds to cover his legal expenses.  New Hampshire Union Leader
  • Justice Marconi’s attorneys asked the court to drop six charges, including official oppression and improper influence, saying her meeting with the former governor was arranged through official channels—while the Attorney General’s office said they are reviewing the motions.  WMUR
  • In January, Julie and Richard from southeastern New Hampshire relied on the Office of the Child Advocate after a safety crisis with their daughter at Hampstead Hospital led to conflicting threats of child abandonment and abuse charges—highlighting gaps in state support.   • Gov. Kelly Ayotte is pushing to change the law after Richard Brown (convicted in Florida of organized fraud, money laundering, grand theft and filing false insurance claims) was hired as an administrative judge at the New Hampshire Department of Labor and his criminal record was not discovered by standard review. Brown resigned after saying he was proud of his work, while Ayotte said the state should clarify its process (a legal change created ambiguity) to protect public safety.  WMUR
