ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ At 5:15 a.m. on April 7th, Nashua Fire Rescue responded to a carbon monoxide incident at 3 Unicorn Way where three occupants fell ill—one was found unconscious and another rescued from a lower level bedroom before all were taken to Southern NH Medical Center with one later transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital as investigators work to determine the source. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On April 3, Nashua Police arrested Connor Hampson from Litchfield on charges of receiving stolen property linked to a Hudson RPM burglary and two Italian nationals — Massimiliano Tarallo and Vincenzo Solombrini — accused of selling fake Apple products, with Hampson set for arraignment on May 7 and the Italians having appeared on bail on April 4. - ➤ A Hudson man, Daniel Herbert, 30, was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly pointed his firearm at firefighters evacuating residents from Hudson Garden Apartments during a 3‑alarm fire—he faces two felony counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and two misdemeanor counts of obstructing government administration with arraignment held on April 7 at the 9th Circuit Court in Nashua. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will begin a month-long pavement resurfacing project on the Everett Turnpike at Exit 5 on April 13 — nightly ramp closures and posted detours will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weather permitting. Nashua Ink Link
- ➤ A new study by the New Hampshire Fiscal Policy Institute shows that lowering business profits and enterprise taxes from 2016 to 2024 cost the state between $795 million and $1.17 billion. The study said the tax cuts did not clearly boost job or income growth — state revenue increases mirrored those in other parts of the country. New Hampshire Bulletin
- ➤ On Thursday, several Ukrainians in Concord received an email from Homeland Security saying their legal status had ended and urging them to leave the U.S. within a week (the error message started with 'it is time for you to leave the United States'). A DHS spokesperson said the mistake affected Ukrainians under the Uniting for Ukraine program (which remains active) and local refugee groups reported the incident has caused stress and anxiety.
