ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Avelo Airlines flight 1170 was illuminated by a blue laser at 9:40 p.m. Friday—about 15 miles from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport—and the FAA said no injuries were reported as it investigates the incident with the plane headed to Concord, North Carolina. WMUR
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A former traveling nurse from Hampton will spend three months in prison for tampering with morphine bottles at a rehabilitation facility in Danvers—she gave up her New Hampshire nursing license in 2021 after being fired, prosecutors said. WMUR
- ➤ A Litchfield man (20-year-old Mateo Hernandez) was arrested for reckless operation, driving without a license, and disobeying a police officer after he was seen speeding over 100 mph on the F.E.Everett Turnpike yesterday (around 1:15 p.m. when he switched seats with a juvenile), and he was released on personal recognizance bail with arraignment set for May 14 in Nashua District Court. - ➤ A former Rockingham County corrections officer—Diangelo Cruz Rivera—pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting an inmate and will serve 90 days in jail while the rest of his 12-month sentence is suspended; he must also register as a sex offender and is banned from future corrections or police work. - ➤ Police arrested one man on Friday night in connection to a bank robbery at TD Bank in New Ipswich (Eric Lord), and no one was hurt. WMUR

- ➤ A local writer is tracking grocery prices to see how tariffs may affect the cost of staple items, beginning with a baseline snapshot from February to April. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On March 28, the Superior Court dismissed resident Laurie Ortolano’s claims against Nashua and awarded sanctions including attorney fees over her public records requests.
