CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Lowell man, Tyler Savinon, 18, pleaded guilty in federal court in Concord on April 2 to aiding in the robbery of a Nashua mail carrier by directing co-conspirators to steal a key that unlocked local mailboxes—sentencing is set for July 9. Nashua Ink Link

- ➤ New Hampshire will celebrate National Tartan Day on April 6 with many ways for locals to honor Scottish heritage—residents can shop for tartan accessories, raise a glass at whisky bars, and taste Scottish dishes at local pubs. - ➤ On April 1 at Ledge Street Elementary, Mayor Jim Donchess said that federal money cuts and new tariffs will force Nashua to use local funds for police, fire, schools, and health services—he warned that such measures may lead to fewer teachers and police. - ➤ Officials in Manchester remind parents today about the Safe Haven Law as an investigation continues over the infant's death in a local pond. The law lets any parent bring a newborn up to seven days old to a 24-hour first responder station or hospital+ where a full check is done before temporary care begins+. WMUR
- ➤ The attorney general's office said the governor will ask state agencies to change hiring procedures after the Department of Labor hired Richard Brown, a former prisoner charged with organized fraud, money laundering, grand theft, and filing false insurance claims. - ➤ The Office of the Child Advocate reported that between summers 2023 and 2024, 12 child deaths were recorded by state agencies handling child services and juvenile justice.
