ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Gov. Kelly Ayotte commended a state trooper and bystanders for rescuing a driver from a burning car at the Bedford toll plaza on Tuesday, and emergency responders provided first aid ensuring the driver is doing fine (rescue effort praised as heroic).  WMUR

  • Three years after its opening, the Nashua Center for the Arts is exceeding expectations — boosting downtown restaurant business and reducing vacancies as officials note its strong economic and cultural impact while the center plans to expand event offerings.  Nashua Ink Link

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices are $3.85 per gallon today in New Hampshire, lower than the national average of $4.06, as global disruptions from the Iran conflict affect supplies. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Local residents gathered at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center on Wednesday to watch Artemis II launch from Florida, where four astronauts began a 10-day lunar orbit mission; in May the center will celebrate Alan Shepard’s 65th space flight anniversary.  WMUR
  • The Nashua school board approved the district’s proposed operating budget for fiscal 2027, which includes a 6% (or $8.2 million) increase, while Mayor Jim Donchess reviews Superintendent Mario Andrade’s plan.
