COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The final four contestants in the Nashua Ink Link Pizza Madness tournament emerged on Tuesday, Mar. 31 and voting is open (until Monday, Apr. 6) with champions to be announced Tuesday, Apr. 7. Residents can cast their vote online to decide the champion.  Nashua Ink Link

CULTURE NEWS

  • Super Secret Ice Cream in Bethlehem is a finalist for Outstanding Bakery at the 2026 James Beard Awards while chef Evan Hennessey of Stages in Dover is nominated for Best Chef: Northeast. Winners will be announced in Chicago on June 15.  WMUR
  • Nashua Community Arts announced today a call for artists for the 2026-27 season at the Sandy Cleary Community Art Gallery located at the Nashua Center for the Arts & selected works will be exhibited from Dec. through March. Artists from Nashua and local art associations are invited to apply online with no fee.  Nashua Ink Link

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Kevin Skarupa visited Main Dunstable Elementary in Nashua, the Harold Martin School in Hopkinton and Souhegan High School in Amherst to review engaging weather lessons about snowflakes, rainbows and tornadoes — students shared creative projects and thoughtful questions.  WMUR
  • Abigail Lamson launched Literacy Lifeline: Empowering Minds, One Book at a Time to help promote reading for all ages in our community. The initiative features school visits plus book drives and will premiere tonight to share the joy of literacy.  WMUR

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Since June 2024, Nashua completed 359 housing units and planned 1,918 more, the planning department confirmed on March 10. The map shows market rate, affordable, mixed income and elderly projects (788 market rate, 526 affordable, 931 mixed income, and 173 elderly units) designed to ease the housing crisis.  Nashua Ink Link

  • WMUR's Alanna Flood completed an 18-mile run on Monday as she entered taper time before the 130th Boston Marathon, set to take place in a few weeks. She is also raising funds for Special Olympics New Hampshire (donations support her training).  WMUR
