  • Spring is clear (today) in Nashua as streets see pothole repairs and windows cleaned while budding plants signal the season’s return. Nearby, STEM Spot in Lawrence offers a kid-friendly space where parents can work as children enjoy play.  WMUR
  • Officials and residents discussed potential improvements to West Hollis Street corridor (from Riverside Street to the Hollis line) today, addressing deterioration linked to recent development in the area.  New Hampshire Union Leader
  • United Way of Greater Nashua is preparing a Community Baby Shower on April 22 at its office to support new and expecting parents in need of extra help. The event will offer a welcoming space for families to connect and access resources.  New Hampshire Union Leader

CULTURE NEWS

  • Dr. Elijah Colburn was one of Nashua’s earliest physicians who built his home at Main and Temple St. in 1828 and served as a civic leader + school trustee. Born in 1795, he died in 1881 and left a lasting mark on local history.  Nashua Ink Link

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Kevin Skarupa gave a weather talk with kindergarteners at Sunset Heights Elementary School on Mar. 30. He explained weather vanes, weather balloons and cloud types and read a story to the students.  WMUR
  • Winners of the state MATHCOUNTS contest held on March 14 at NHTI will represent New Hampshire at the National MATHCOUNTS competition in Orlando in May.  New Hampshire Union Leader

HEALTH NEWS

  • Consumer Reports expanded its testing by analyzing 49 baby formulas available locally, including organic goat milk and liquid ready-to-feed options, after reader questions following last year's study. Nearly half rated top, but many showed concerning inorganic arsenic levels and some were flagged for lead and PFAS (forever chemicals).  WMUR

SPORTS NEWS

  • Therese and Bryan Kerman, both 64 from Salem (veteran runners), are preparing to run the 130th Boston Marathon on April 20. They built their endurance with walks, 5Ks, and half marathons and now look forward to meeting fellow racers along the course.  WMUR
  • The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are set to start their 22nd season on Friday at Delta Dental Stadium at 6:03 p.m. after Monday's media day revealed a revamped roster and a new manager, John Tamargo Jr.  WMUR
