BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Fred Kocher explains that New Hampshire now offers a 75% tax credit on state business taxes for companies investing in community projects like housing and homelessness services. The program, which connects nonprofits with business donors and awarded $25.6M to 117 projects—such as Family Promise’s expansion of transitional housing in Derry—will benefit from a planned increase in the grant cap under SB 158. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ In March, the Hillsborough County Superior Court South grand jury indicted 77 people on charges that include robbery, forgery, theft, and assault (cases involved incidents in Nashua, Manchester, and Merrimack). Nashua Ink Link

- ➤ New Hampshire Craft Beer Week will run from April 3 to 12 and feature over 100 events including tastings, tap takeovers and live music that support local brewers facing tough tariffs. Other future events include the NH Beer Trail Basecamp Festival on June 28 at Tuckerman Brewing (66 Hobbs St.) and the NH Bacon & Beer Festival on June 27 which will benefit the High Hopes Foundation. - ➤ Yester-Heroes tells the history of Nashua police and fire-rescue work — it covers a gambling raid on August 8th, 1938 that led to the arrest of three local men and a strong hurricane on September 21st, 1938 that injured officers. McCarthy Memorial Foundation will host its first Family STEM Day on May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at World Academy (138 Spit Brook Road, Nashua) to celebrate five years by inviting organizations to present STEM-based demonstrations, and organizations must sign up by April 28 (the event is free and open to the public) to join local efforts that boost science, technology, engineering, and math education.
