CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Nashua’s local pizza contest is accepting votes until midnight tomorrow to decide which eight spots will head to the regional finals starting Tuesday, April 24. Each contestant is capped at 50 non-unique votes per voter. Nashua Ink Link
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Chop Shop 166 from Merrimack High School won the Engineering Inspiration Award and placed third at the Granite State District Event at Bedford High School on March 14+15. The team overcame technical challenges with its robot, showing strong community spirit. Nashua Ink Link
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ New Hampshire Fish and Game warns ice fishermen to remove bob houses before April 1 as warmer weather thins ice near the shore. Brad Hardy of Horn Pond (who encountered sloshing water) said delays risk fines or a suspended fishing license. WMUR
- ➤ Residents watched a public meeting on Thursday night where officials outlined a plan in nine parts to ease traffic and improve pedestrian and cyclist safety on West Hollis Street. The plan, estimated at $16 million (to be built one part at a time), awaits funding decisions. Nashua Ink Link
