- ➤ New Hampshire has a rich film legacy that includes Portsmouth’s Louis de Rochemont producing an Oscar-winning documentary in the 1940s, Ernest Thompson winning best adapted screenplay for On Golden Pond filmed on Lake Winnipesaukee, and UNH alum Jennifer Lee helping make Frozen a box-office hit. - ➤ UNH graduate Jennifer Lee became the first woman to direct a Disney film with Frozen and later served as executive producer on hits like Encanto and Raya and the Last Dragon (she will lead future projects including Frozen III set for release in fall). WMUR

- ➤ Students and staff at Fairgrounds Middle School held a talent show fundraiser Tuesday night and raised $1,536 for St. Jude’s. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Officials say melting snow is not enough to break the drought as frozen ground hinders water absorption. Experts say spring rain is needed to lift the dry spell predicted to last through May & only about 1 to 1.5 inches of water will soak into the ground. WMUR
- ➤ Changeable weather is expected today as light snow develops later tonight across the state, causing slippery roads in parts of central and northern areas+ gusty winds and chilly conditions will mark Saturday afternoon. A warmer, rain-showery system will move in on Monday, potentially prompting localized flooding on area rivers. WMUR

- ➤ This weekend, Derry's Dunham brothers will coach high school teams in state championship games—Pinkerton Academy meets Trinity at 4 p.m. on Sunday at UNH for a New Hampshire title and Central Catholic faces Bishop Feehan at 6 p.m. in Lowell for the Massachusetts title. WMUR
