- ➤ Bobbie Bagley, Director of Public Health and Community Services, was named 2026 Citizen of the Year by NASW-NH. The award ceremony will be held Friday, March 27 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Double Tree Hotel in Concord (celebrating her work with the unhoused). Nashua Ink Link
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ New Hampshire schools can now record classroom assessments and broadcast public athletic events without written parental consent after Gov. Kelly Ayotte signed a law this week; the rule, effective since last July, ends the previous requirement imposed after state education guidance. WMUR
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sean O’Brien with UNH Cooperative Extension shared winter composting tips at Bedford Fields when he spoke with Matt Hoenig. He advised using straw bales or bags of leaves (brown matter) to insulate the pile and keep a 3-to-1 ratio of browns to greens for effective decomposition. WMUR
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ News 9 interviewed registered dietitian Elizabeth White who said eating a rainbow of fruits & veggies is key for strong immunity and warned that many sugary drinks often contain excessive sugar, increasing the risk of weight gain and health problems. WMUR
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Celtics forward Jayson Tatum returned at TD Garden Friday night with 15 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists, and a doctor at SolutionHealth (Dr. Padmanabhan) said he is making good progress after a season-ending Achilles injury. He is set to play Sunday at 1 p.m. against the Cavaliers. WMUR
