  • Oyster farmer Brian Gennaco readies his boat on Great Bay this winter to harvest fresh oysters for local restaurants. The oysters are sorted by size (supporting both market sales and reef restoration) and delivered the same day.  WMUR

CULTURE NEWS

  • Fritz Wetherbee shares his treasured 1892 Atlas of New Hampshire towns along with family heirlooms such as his grandfather's solid gold pocket watch from photos taken in 1938. He often consults the atlas to document local changes in his video archive.  WMUR
  • Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey’s show, now called the Greatest Party on Earth, comes to SNHU Arena in Manchester with acrobatics, dancing and a new character PT (Party Time). Performances run today at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7 p.m. and Sunday at noon and 4 p.m.  WMUR

  • Rye fire chief Mark Cotreau told News 9 wood stoves can often cause fires and urged residents to clean and inspect them yearly while keeping ashes in a metal bucket away from the home—advice shared as winter remains in full swing.  WMUR

  • Manchester Fire Marshal Mitchell Cady advised residents on preventing carbon monoxide poisoning during winter by servicing heating appliances and using generators only outdoors. He warned that symptoms like nausea and headaches could signal dangerous exposure.  WMUR

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • A Viewers' Choice contest invites local restaurants and pubs to vie for the best corned beef and cabbage, a nod to St. Patrick's Day. Voting ends Thursday at 9 a.m. + the winner is announced Friday + each person may vote only once.  WMUR
