- ➤ Nonprofit founder Benjamin Anthony will open Gate City Skatepark on Feb. 28 at 522 Amherst Street to offer indoor skateboarding for all, building on 10 years teaching local kids. - ➤ On Thursday, Feb. 19, the House advanced two revised bills on neonicotinoid pesticides (one to study outcomes of similar bans and one to restrict usage) and dropped a measure to ban insecticide-coated seed treatments due to feasibility limits. - ➤ Data from AMR show that in January medics responded to 48 suspected overdoses in Manchester and Nashua, including six fatal cases + 38% of patients received Narcan. - ➤ Catholic Medical Center will end its outpatient mental health services on March 31. The hospital will keep its emergency services and connect patients with other local care providers (including the Mental Health Center of Manchester). WMUR

- ➤ New Hampton School alumna Cayla Barnes won her second Olympic gold with Team USA when they beat Canada 2-1 in overtime in Milan on Thursday. Her win (a proud nod to local hockey talent) marks a special achievement for the community. WMUR
- ➤ Manchester West’s Blue Knights beat Oyster River 86 to 55 (senior day) yesterday in Manchester as the seniors showed strong defense and key plays. WMUR
