ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The Department of Transportation hosted a summit Monday in Manchester to discuss rising traffic fatalities as numbers climbed from 127 in 2022 to 139 in 2025 with nine recorded deaths in 2026 + officials urged drivers to avoid distractions, speeding, and impaired driving.  WMUR

CULTURE NEWS

  • Nashua Center for the Arts will host the Navy Band Northeast Pops Ensemble on Wednesday, March 18 at 7 p.m. Free tickets are available at the box office (Mon–Fri, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.) and online.  Nashua Ink Link

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Fourth-graders at Bicentennial Elementary in Nashua drafted a bill to name the apple cider doughnut the state treat after a visit to the State House. Supported by Rep. Telerski, the proposal may boost fall business and would make New Hampshire the third state with a state doughnut.  Nashua Ink Link

HEALTH NEWS

  • New Hampshire has reported 42 flu deaths this season (including two children) as state data shows Merrimack County experiencing very high flu activity while other counties remain lower. Last year, the state recorded 85 flu deaths, including one child.  WMUR

  • Chef Bobby Marcotte from Tuckaway Tavern—known for his game-day recipes—detailed how to make pork dumpling meatballs, a sausage skillet, and a vodka sauce dip on Feb. 6 ahead of the Patriots Super Bowl game this weekend.  WMUR
