ACCIDENTS NEWS

➤ Early Saturday around 3 a.m., a snowblower struck a gas meter at a multi-family building on Putnam Street in Manchester, causing a major leak that forced 12 adults and 4 children to evacuate to The Alpine Club; utility crews stopped the gas by 5 a.m. with no injuries reported. WMUR

➤ The Bishop Guertin varsity boys basketball team won against Merrimack High School Friday night 68-51 at home—senior guard Connor McGowan led a balanced scoring effort that moved the team to fifth in Division-I; they will now face tougher opponents. Nashua Ink Link
➤ Friday night at the North Gym, sophomore Andre Kargbo scored a buzzer-beater putback as time expired, lifting Nashua North to a 55-53 win over Nashua South after a tense finish that saw key free throws and a tying three-point play (guard Tyson Hoang’s clutch free throws spurred the win).
