CULTURE NEWS

  • Rev. Andrew Thayer was a Nashua pioneer who led a bookstore and circulating library—he also edited a local paper—during the early boom when the Indian Head Coffee House spurred growth on Thayer’s Court. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Jennifer Lane from the Department of Transportation reported that heavy snow has created difficult road conditions with low visibility and 45 mph speed limits on highways south of Lincoln. The department advises drivers to slow down, follow plows at least five cars behind, and avoid unnecessary travel during the long-duration storm.  WMUR

HEALTH NEWS

  • USDA data show that 52,600 New Hampshire households, or 9.1 percent of families, faced food insecurity during 2022-24, marking the highest rate since 2015 to 2017. The rise follows a reduction in pandemic-era support measures.  Nashua Ink Link
