  • Beth Janelle's new children's book 'Nina Climbs a Mountain' tells the true story of her rescued dog who climbed all 48 of New Hampshire's highest peaks (defying early predictions). Nearly 200 people attended the book launch at Madbury Public Library.  WMUR

  • Light snow will begin in the early hours today with accumulations of 1-3 inches and potential for slick roads; further snow showers are expected Sunday evening in southeastern areas as colder air deepens for Tuesday.  WMUR

HEALTH NEWS

  • American Medical Response released its 2025 annual opioid overdose report today showing record low numbers in Nashua and Manchester. Officials noted a 16% drop in Nashua and a 30% reduction in Manchester from 2024, crediting coordinated efforts + rapid naloxone use for saving lives.  Nashua Ink Link
  • Tim Andrews is home in Concord after receiving a human kidney transplant Tuesday at Massachusetts General Hospital. He had lived with a genetically modified pig kidney for 271 days until it was rejected, following his struggle with diabetes and end-stage kidney disease.  WMUR
  • According to the American Cancer Society, New Hampshire reported 10,290 new cancer cases in 2025 (third highest per 100,000 nationally). The U.S. saw more than 2 million cases diagnosed, excluding nonmelanoma skin cancers.  New Hampshire Union Leader
