- ➤ New Hampshire’s white Christmas brought families out to enjoy winter fun during the school break, with Brentwood Police officers joining kids in sledding and a local farm hosting a first ice skating. Videos also showed a busy beaver cleaning up branches after a recent ice storm. WMUR
- ➤ Kaelyn Gagnon, a Girl Scout Gold Award winner from Manchester, started a Special Olympics Young Athletes program for kids ages 2 to 7 at Goffstown Parks and Rec Center in March 2024. The program offers eight-week sessions and will transfer to new leadership when she leaves for college this fall. WMUR
- ➤ United Way of Greater Nashua announced its 2026 Governance Board & Community Advisory Council to guide the organization with leaders from business, education, health care, & local government helping shape community efforts. New Hampshire Union Leader
- ➤ Feed NH is boosting local nonprofit efforts through community-driven service using roundups and fundraisers. Director Emma Fraser, board chair Lisa Allen, and Girls Inc. (beneficiary) representative Aletta Brown explained how the initiative supports local groups in Manchester. WMUR
- ➤ Jim Carey directs Heaven's Kitchen (a project that packs 625 nutritious meals twice a week for local seniors and children) in Hampstead and Derry. WMUR

- ➤ Nashua Ink Link has launched Nashua’s Yesterdays (a new weekly series) that shares stories about local history and landmarks by drawing from 19th-century books and local historians. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Fred Kocher spoke with DESE Commissioner Richard Lavers about the state's private-sector jobs entering 2026 as manufacturing, tourism, retail and government jobs declined while health and real estate grew. Lavers said the department will soon use AI (to streamline claims) as it aims to boost workforce growth. WMUR

- ➤ Light snow will fall Monday evening and could create slippery travel conditions for some routes; a wintry mix is expected Tuesday night into early Wednesday that may slow morning commutes. Temperatures will warm later as highs approach 40 by Wednesday afternoon (a welcomed break after recent cold). WMUR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The New Hampshire Department of Transportation reminds drivers today to give working snowplows plenty of space, as state law requires yielding to highway maintenance and failure to do so may result in fines up to $250. WMUR
- ➤ A coalition of state attorneys general including NH’s Formella is urging Meta to enforce its rules on pharmaceutical and wellness ads and stop misleading AI weight loss ads that misrepresent drug risks and use fake before-after images; the group calls for measures like restricting non-FDA approved ads and clearer disclosures. - ➤ On Saturday at JFK Coliseum, Trinity pulled away from Nashua in hockey after Centerino scored twice and goalie Gantner saved 21 shots, leading Trinity to a 5 to 2 win while Nashua dropped to a 0 to 4 record. It was the co-op team’s first year. Nashua Ink Link
